Uri ng Batterya ng Cellphone
- Uri ng Batterya ng Cellphone
- All cell phones come equipped with various kinds of batteries depending on the manufacturer, phone size or shape and features. But most people don't think much about them until their cell phones die.
The truth is that the battery is the lifeblood of your mobile phone. The designers of mobile phones try hard to minimize and use more efficiently the power that the batteries use, which in turn gives longer service from smaller, lighter cell phone batteries.
Everytime you charge your battery, the battery loses some of its potency and thus become diminished in power.
Let us examine the advantages and disadvantages of each of them.
- Lithium Polymer (Li-Poly) Batteries
-
-
Advantages
-
* most recent type
-
-
* napakagaan (since it is enclosed in plastic pouch instead of a metal can)
-
* deliver up to 40% more battery capacity than a Nickel Metal Hybrid (NiMH) of the same size.
-
* does not explode, even when a nail is driven through it!
-
* walang "memory effect"
-
"Memory effect" ay resulta ng pag-charge ng batteryang hindi pa tuluyang namamatay; as a result the battery "remembers" the shortened cycle and is thus reduced in capacity.
-
Disadvantages
-
* very rare
- Lithium Ion (Li-Ion) Batteries
- Advantages
- * pinaka popular na uri ng cellphone battery
- * mas magaan at mas mahabang buhay kaysa sa NiMH batteries
- * walang "memory effect"
- * exceptional capacity for its size and weight
- * longest battery life in the smallest package
- * apply a fast charge technique to quickly charge up your cell phone up to 80% capacity and then slowly bring it up to full power in about two hours.
- Disadvantages
- * madaling masira kapag na overcharge lalo na kapag halos 24 hours
- * mahal!
- * walang "memory effect"
- * not compatible with older cell phones
- * longest battery life in the smallest package
- Nickel Metal Hydrid (NiMH) Batteries
-
- Advantages
- * claim to be superior to NiCd because they don't contain cadmium
- * gawa sa non-toxic materials and are environmentally friendly
- * rank as the "best value" of all cellular phone battery types
- * allows rapid charging (NiMH batteries can be 50% recharged in just 15 minutes, and up to 90% in 1 hour using a car charger)
- * the same size with NiCad batteries but will run for 30%-40% longer, and twice as much energy can be packed into a given unit.
- Disadvantages
- * medyo prone sa "memory effect"
- * uses relatively new technology
- Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) Batteries
-
- Advantages
- * pinaka murang uri ng cellphone battery (helps to bring down the over-all cost of the handset)
- Disadvantages
- * uses old technology
- * pang maikling gamitan lamang
- * must be completely discharged before recharging or else damage can occur; and,
- * the chemicals used in NiCd batteries are not environmentally friendly, and the disposal of cadmium-rich waste is an increasing problem.
- The life of your cell phone depends on the potency of your battery.
